"Crime Story" (1993) Dirk Wong's "Crime Story" starring Jackie Chan is an action thriller which concerns a stressed out cop trying to recover a rich businessman who has been taken hostage. This is unlike other Jackie movies as it is void of any humor .The action scenes are very well staged but there are only a few in the whole film .Although I did enjoy this film I think most Jackie Chan fans will be disappointed with the lack of fight scenes .Jackie does quite well with the serious role and I was surprised how well the story was developed .This is actually among my favourite Jackie Chan Movies and it's a good change from his usual slapstick kung fu films.

"Crime Story"
"Once upon a Time in China 2" (1992)
Tsui Hark's period kung fu classic, stars Jet Li playing the legendary character Wong Fui Hung. The story is set in a time where the White Lotus cult is trying to stop western influences entering China during the turn of the 20th century. Wong Fai Hung is accompanying a female photographer though China, and once the White Lotus cult causes trouble for her and the innocent locals, Wong decides to teach them a lesson. This is a visually stunning film, with some great photography. The scenery and costumes look very authentic and the fight scenes are well staged. The stirring music score adds to the atmosphere of the climax which lasts about aslong as any other martial arts film. The action scenes use "wires" to enhance the martial arts which are quite good, making Jet do the impossible. One thing I didn't like too much in this film was how the story was drawn out too long, with little action scenes until the end. But other than that it's a good movie and one I'd rank among Jet's finest.

"Dr Wai in the Scripture of no words"(1996)
Jet Li stars in this "Indiana Jones" style action/ comedy wich incudes some of the most over the top fight scenes I have ever seen . This film ,although not his best ,is worth watching just for the fight scenes which use "wires" making Jet defy gravity .I found the comedy to be a litle annoying at times but other than that it's not a bad movie and watch out for When Jet fights the sumo wreslers its realy over the top .
